Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is sharing the updated designs for the transformation of Royal Victoria Place.
A further round of public engagement will run from 13 to 23 March, ahead of the submission of a planning application expected around Easter 2026. During this period, those across the borough can view the updated designs, which have been shaped by feedback gathered through extensive previous engagement.
The designs include plans for a boutique cinema and new leisure uses at Ely Court, alongside a revitalised Palm Court featuring improved retail and community leisure space. The original designs to deliver new town centre homes will now be brought forward at a later time to allow further work and design to be done to ensure the right development is proposed for Market Square.
Face-to-face engagement events with the design team will take place in Unit 33, Upper Mall (between iStore and Kent Relief, a few doors down from Primark), Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells TN1 2SS, on:
- Friday 13 March from 2pm to 5pm
- Saturday 14 March from 10am to 2pm
- Saturday 21 March from 10am to 2pm
The designs will also be available online at rvpfuture.com from Thursday 12 March.
A comment form will be available online and at the events, with all feedback to be received by 23 March.
